Hey Buddy is made up of the washed process Ethiopia Yirgacheffe and natural process Brazil Serra Das Tres Barras. Bright, fruity and flavourful with a profile of juicy berries, peach, apricot, and creamy caramel with a hint of hazelnuts.
What is a filter roast? Roasted to a lighter profile than espresso, a filter roast allows the coffee to retain more of the distinctive origin characteristics such as florals and fruits and also preserves more of the sweet acids and aromatics. Each profile is carefully designed to highlight these attributes while also developing the roast so that body and sweetness are present in the cup. This means that filter roasts are slightly less soluble, and better suited to the slower brewing conditions of filter coffee, including plunger (french press) and cold brew.
Cold Brewing? Our recipe is designed for the Hario or Bruer. We recommend a ratio of 1:8.5 (or 60g medium-coarse coffee to 510ml filtered water) for a concentrate suitable for dilution with ice, water or milk. For best results, begin by opening the water valve fully to allow enough water through to saturate the coffee evenly. Close the valve and wait ten minutes, discarding any coffee that drips through in this period. Re-open the valve to one drip every two seconds (maintain this rate through the rest of the brew).
