YOU WILL NEED
- Aerobie Aeropress
- Disk or paper filter (rinsed)
- Sturdy cup or vessel to extract into
- 200ml fresh water, preferrably heated to just before boiling
- 15g of delicious coffee, medium grind - similar to coarse sand
Place the filter inside the cap and screw it on to the Aeropress, then pre-heat the device and your cup with plenty of hot water. Once hot, position the Aeropress over your vessel, filter end down, and add the coffee to the brew chamber.
Start the timer and add just enough water to saturate the coffee and let sit for 20 seconds.
Add the remainder of the water and stir back and forth for 15 – 20 seconds, then insert the end of the plunger.
[For a stronger brew, let the coffee steep for 30 – 60 seconds]
Using firm, even pressure, press down on the plunger – stopping just before the rubber meets the grounds. This should take about 30 seconds.
[If it’s hard to plunge, your coffee may be too finely ground]
You’re done! We recommend diluting your brew with a splash of hot water or milk.
