This beautiful washed process originates from the Kochere district within Yirgacheffe in Central Southern Ethiopia. Coffee thrives within Yirgacheffe’s lush, forested environment, developing nuanced oral characteristics, articulate sweetness and sparkling acidity.
Coffees from this region are harvested in rich, red-brown clay soil, before being picked and delivered to the washing station, depulped within 12 hours and washed using spring water.
Kochere coffees have strong fruit, tea–like notes that come along with the citrus and stone fruit. The refined, delicate characteristics of these coffees contribute to Yirgacheffe's notoriety of producing some of the finest coffees in the world.
